Map Site Members based on a Community Builder Users List!
That's right - you can show all of your site's members on a map, only members that meet certain criteria, all users in a state or region, etc. You can also put the map together with a User List of your choice on a single page, and let visitors to your site do interactive searching.
As they get search results, those results show up on the map!
This is purely up to you, as you can put a selected map(s) of your members on any Joomla page and not co-ordinate it with the search function.
This is an invaluable tool when using Community Builder for business networking, Chambers of Commerce, sports leagues, and other related uses.
Add an admin-controlled featured field to your CB profiles, and select members to feature! Featured members can show up on the map with a different color map marker and an optional star icon as shown above. Colors for the featured marker and star are set in the module parameters. You may map by the standard address fields in Community Builder, or you can add longitude and latitude fields to map by geocodes.
JMaps on CB User List Search Page - Map Can be Integrated with Search or Shown Separately
The output of the CB Mapping Plugin can also be used for export to other Joomla components, or even as a source of information for custom programming.
Most of the same options exist for mapping Community Builder members as exist for SobiPro mapping. This includes a link to the Profile in the Info Bubble which appears on the map. You can turn the number marker off or on depending on whether you show a JMaps module on the page with the CB User list, or show it on a separate page.

1) Map a custom XML file that you provide!
Create a custom XML file to use for mapping purposes. Realtors can use JMaps to show available properties put together from a remote database. Non-profits can show areas affected by disasters, or areas where they are operating in order to attract donations or advertise where help is provided. Chains of businesses can show their locations. If you can think of something that needs to be shown on a map, then JMaps can help you out by letting you put your mapping results in a custom file and shown on any Joomla page. The JMaps documentation includes complete instructions on how to create an XML file for mapping purposes. Want to see an example file? Click here to download one in a zip file and check it out.

2) Add an RSS or KLM feed file to your results!
If there is specific data that you would like to show along with your mapping results (from any of the options above), provide a URL to that feed and JMaps will create the map markers for you. Sell ads to businesses in your coverage area and have them appear along with mapped results from your directory or your site members. Whatever you can find a valid RSS or KLM feed for can be mapped! You can add the results to results from your own custom XML file, or you can display a map based only on the RSS/KLM file feed.
